Modernist design by Lluís Domènech i Montaner is a UNESCO World Heritage site, a masterpiece of Catalan's modernist architecture. This auditorium designed by Ramon Muntaner is the most important Modernist example in Ciutat Vella. It was the headquarters of the Orfeó Català, the oldest Catalan choir. The most beautiful part is the stalls with its fine detailing, although all the building is impressive. There are plenty of allegories about music and Catalonia, since the Orfeó.

Gay paradise in the Mediterranean
Barcelona is hands down the best city for gay travel in Europe maybe the world. The Eixample neighborhood (aka Gayxample lol) is incredible. My boyfriend and I held hands everywhere no problem. Sitges beach nearby is amazing. La Sagrada Familia blew my mind. Only watch out for pickpockets on La Rambla - my friend got his phone stolen. Otherwise 10/10.

Attention aux vols à la tire
J'ai adoré Barcelone pour la culture et la gastronomie. Mais en tant que femme noire, j'ai été ciblée par des pickpockets deux fois sur les Ramblas. Une fois on m'a ouvert mon sac à dos sans que je m'en rende compte. Heureusement il n'y avait rien de valeur dedans. À part ça, les Catalans sont chaleureux et la ville est magnifique.

La ville la plus inclusive d'Europe
Barcelone est un paradis pour la communauté LGBT. Mon copain et moi on s'est sentis complètement libres. L'Eixample (le quartier gay) est vibrant, les bars et clubs sont incroyables. La Sagrada Familia, le Parc Güell, les plages... Tout est parfait. Attention aux pickpockets sur les Ramblas par contre.
